Royals
The future king! Prince William and Princess Kate welcomed Prince George in July 2013, and the little one has been stealing hearts ever since.
Fatherhood was “quite a change” for the Duke of Cambridge, he said during a royal event three years after George’s arrival.
“I’m very lucky in the support I have from Catherine, she’s an amazing mother and a fantastic wife,” William explained in 2016. “I’ve struggled at times. The alteration from being a single, independent man to going into marriage and then having children is life-changing.”
The duke, who is also the father of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, went on to call his eldest son a “little rascal sometimes” who kept him “on [his] toes,” but still a “sweet boy.” William added, “Having a daughter is a very different dynamic. So I’m learning.”
Four years later, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the heir was interested in diving, explaining, “George is obsessed with helicopters, planes and marine biology. George is well-behaved. All the kids are, but Charlotte and Louis both have a cheeky streak.”
The insider added in November 2020 that “Louis is more like Charlotte in personality than George.”
William called George a budding soccer star in July 2020. “I reckon he could be [Aston Villa’s] all-time leading goal scorer,” the duke said during an episode of the “That Peter Crouch Podcast.” “I can see no reason why not. It would be brilliant. … I’m letting him choose his own way. It’s about finding what fits for him.”
A second source exclusively told Us that same month that George was becoming a “confident little boy” and starting to “come out of his shell – although Charlotte is the most self-assured at of the three.” The insider noted that the little one was a “kind-natured and thoughtful” sibling who looked out for Charlotte and Louis.
“Kate and William joke that he ‘likes to be the best at everything,” the source added at the time, calling note to his “competitive streak.” George was also “already showing signs that he’s a high achiever.”
