Back to Beverly Hills. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is returning to Bravo for season 13, but it will look a bit different than before.
A few months after the intense season 12 reunion in October 2022, longtime star Lisa Rinna announced her departure from the reality series after eight seasons on January 5, 2023. “This is the longest job I have held in my 35-year career and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series,” she said in a statement to Us Weekly. “It has been a fun 8-year run and I am excited for what is to come.”
The former soap star’s rep added: “Given that Lisa’s contract was up at the end of last season, and after taking the time to weigh her current options and business obligations, Lisa and Bravo have discussed and mutually decided that she will not be returning to RHOBH.”
Not long after sharing news of her exit, the actress opened up about her not-so-great experience filming her final season of the show. “I f–king hated this year. For a lot of reasons,” she said in a January 2023 interview with Interview magazine. “My mom died, we all know that. But that’s not the biggest reason. The story just didn’t get told as two-sidedly as I would’ve liked. How about that?”
In addition to the death of her mother, Lois Rinna, at the age of 93 in November 2021, Lisa found herself tangled up in drama with costar Kathy Hilton following the group’s season 12 trip to Aspen, Colorado. Following a night out at a club, Lisa accused Hilton of insulting several cast members — including her sister Kyle Richards — while having a meltdown back at their hotel.
“It was unfortunate that there weren’t cameras in Aspen,” the Days of Our Lives alum told Interview. “It was something that happened so spontaneously. In the moment, I didn’t think to turn on my voice memos. When somebody’s having a nuclear breakdown, you don’t think, ‘Oh, I should be filming this.’ That doesn’t come across your mind.”
Lisa isn’t the only cast member who bid farewell to Bravo ahead of season 13. Diana Jenkins, who is pregnant, revealed on January 9, 2023, that she would not be returning after joining the RHOBH cast for season 12.
“Hi everybody … As so many of you know, Asher and I are expecting our second child later this year,” the businesswoman explained via Instagram at the time. “You also know that due to many factors, this pregnancy is considered high risk and I am on doctor-advised bed rest. To that end, I am not able to devote myself fully to filming the next season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I would like to thank Bravo and Evolution for allowing me to focus on my pregnancy, and for their support and understanding. I promise to continue sharing my fertility journey with you.”

Dorit Kemsley, Crystal Kung Minkoff, Garcelle Beauvais, Kyle, Sutton Stracke and Erika Jayne will be returning. It is unclear whether Kathy will return in a “friend” role or if other additions will be made.
At BravoCon in October 2022, Kathy teased that she would not return to the series if Lisa did come back. “If it’s same exact cast? Absolutely not,” she exclusively told Us at the time. “I’m just a friend, so it doesn’t matter. … I don’t ever like to say what other people should be. I just think that you need to mix things up a bit.”
The cast will feature noticeable absences, as Lisa and Diana both announced their departures from the series in January 2023.
Bravo has yet to reveal when the new season will premiere.
In a March 2023 interview with People, Beauvais confirmed that filming for season 13 had kicked off the month prior, teasing what fans can expect from the new episodes.
“I think we’re gonna get back to old school Beverly Hills in terms of like glamor and fun, and you know, a little bit of a sisterhood if we can,” she revealed. “Even though there’s gonna be drama. So I’m looking forward to it. We just started filming.”
The RHOBH ladies set off the film their first cast trip of the season in March 2023, as Richards shared a photo of them via Instagram posing in front of their plane before taking off. “#InternationalWomensDay,” she captioned the pic, alluding to the series by adding a diamond and plane emoji.
Anesthesiologist and wife of former NFL defensive end Marcellus Wiley, Annemarie Wiley, is reportedly joining the RHOBH cast after being spotted filming with the rest of the ladies in March 2023. The mother of four’s official role on the show has yet to be announced.
Alums Kim Richards, Denise Richards and Camille Grammer have been spotted filming scenes for season 13. Plus, Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Cynthia Bailey, who moved to the 90210, also appeared to shoot some footage.
“I think it was really in the moment, you know. [Kyle] called and said, ‘Do you want to go? And they’ve been asking for a while and I kept saying no. And that particular moment she called, I said, ‘OK,’” Kim told Access Hollywood in March 2023 of her cameo appearance. “I literally just like, I’m not gonna make a big deal. I’m not gonna. I’m just gonna walk out the door. I’m just gonna go and I did and I had a great time and it was fun.”
Kyle, for her part, added: “It feels great. You know, my sister … she knows we’ve all gone through a little bit of a hard time and the families, some of you may know. But my sister always made a point to check on me and remind me that … I’m the baby sister and it’s just there for me and it feels good.”
After Lisa claimed that season 13 would be “boring” without her presence, Erika concurred during a March 2023 interview with Access Hollywood. “In spots, yes, she is not wrong,” the Pretty Mess author said. “Not all boring but some, for sure. She’s irreplaceable, but do people call each other out [this season]? Sure.”
After being spotted filming scenes for the show, the World Is Not Enough actress confirmed in April that she would be returning for season 13 in a guest capacity.
“I have filmed some episodes,” she told Variety. “And it’s been fun. And you know, I’m a big fan of the show, so it was fun to go back and film a lot of stuff with them.”
The Illinois native added that her involvement happened “on the spur of the moment” after she attended a screening hosted by Beauvais.
“I was at her screening as a friend — like a real friend — I didn’t tell anyone I was gonna be there. Production didn’t know. I just showed up, like, for real life, as a real friend in real life,” she explained. “The next day, I was asked to go to some events — and so it’s been actually fun.”

What Can Fans Expect From Erika Jayne and Dorit’s Feud Story Line?
During an October 2022 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Erika Jayne predicted that Dorit and her husband, PK Kemsley, would be the next Bravo couple to call it quits. After the drama unfolded on social media — during which her costars slammed her remarks and Erika Jayne clarified that she was “joking” — the Georgia native exclusively told Us in April 2023 that she “explained … to Dorit” that she no longer feels that she and PK are headed for a split. She further teased that viewers will “have to watch [how the drama] play[s] out on the show.”
