Celebrity Babies of 2023: See Which Stars Gave Birth This Year

New year, new babies! Chrissy Teigen, Jenna Johnson and more stars have welcomed children in 2023.

The Cravings founder, who married John Legend in 2013, gave birth to the couple’s rainbow baby, daughter Esti Maxine, on January 13.

“What a blessed day,” the “All of Me” crooner gushed during a private concert that evening, per social media footage. Legend noted at the time that he hadn’t gotten “a lot of sleep” but “feels energized” now that their little one arrived.

Teigen and the Voice mentor — who also share daughter Luna and son Miles — previously announced in August 2022 that they were expecting another baby.

“The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again. 1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way,” the former model wrote via Instagram in August 2022, referring to her past fertility struggles and IVF journey. “Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still. I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. OK phew, it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”

Teigen and Legend’s newest arrival is their rainbow baby, who arrived nearly three years after the Utah native suffered a miscarriage with late son Jack.

“It was difficult, and I was hesitant to share it,” the EGOT winner said during an August 2022 appearance on BBC Radio 4’s “Desert Island Discs” program. “I think Chrissy was really right in encouraging us to share it because I think it really was powerful for a lot of people. Way more people than anybody realizes go through this.”

Johnson, for her part, gave birth to her first child three days earlier.

“Our world is forever changed 🤍,” the Dancing With the Stars pro and husband Val Chmerkovskiy captioned a joint Instagram post on January 11, sharing a snap of them holding their son’s tiny hand.

The professional dancers, who wed in 2019, revealed in July 2022 that they were expecting a baby after years of fertility struggles.

“I’m ready for it. For all, like, the gore and scariness, bring it on. Let’s do it,” the So You Think You Can Dance alum exclusively told Us Weekly the following September about her changing body and childbirth. “There’s a lot of things happening to my body that are strange and not normal and [Val] just makes me feel like an absolute beauty queen.”

She continued at the time: “With everything getting bigger and changing, he just loves it. And not even that physical aspect, but just knowing that we’re gonna have a little human that’s ours together is really beautiful.”

The Duck Dynasty alum announced on May 25 that her second child, daughter Haven, arrived three days prior. “Haven has brought a touch of heaven 😍,” she gushed via social media.

“Safe to say we’re all in love with lil Eleanor Mae Chesky, who made her big debut Tuesday afternoon weighing a solid 7 lbs 13 oz,” the NBC News anchor wrote via Instagram on May 24. “With her mom’s eyes and dad’s appetite Ellie’s already off to a fantastic start! Her grandmother calls her the cutest 6th generation Texan she’s ever seen. I’m inclined to agree.”

The Counting On alum and her husband announced the birth of their third child on May 19. “He’s here!” the duo wrote via Instagram alongside a photo that showed them holding the newborn in the hospital. “Thank you all for praying … Mama and baby are recovering well.”

“A week ago my whole life changed,” the “Price Tag” singer wrote via her Instagram Story on May 19. “My son entered this world and my heart grew twice the size. The feeling is indescribable [and] I am flying in love. He is magic. He is all my dreams come true [and] he is my whole 🌍.”

She added at the time: “He and I are both doing great. I am soaking up every second and still can’t believe he is real, here and mine. I am so grateful.”

Jessie, who did not immediately share a photo or the name of her little one, previously suffered a miscarriage in late 2022.

The Bachelor alum gave birth to her first child with the hockey player, son Beckham, on May 12.

The Dancing With the Stars pro announced early on May 14 that she had given birth to her second son.

“He’s here,” Carson captioned an Instagram Story pic of herself cuddling the newborn. “Baby is getting 100% oxygen and doing great but breathing a lot fast. They are trying to get it to slow down a little in the NICU. Send prayers!”

Nearly two hours later, the pro dancer was thankful her baby boy was “back in my arms.” She added: “He has to be closely monitored but I’m so happy I’m holding him now.”

The Selling Sunset alum and her husband welcomed their rainbow baby — daughter Emma Reign — in early May. The proud parents, who also share son Aiden and daughter Elle, had previously suffered a miscarriage and a stillbirth.

The Goodfellas star and his girlfriend, who were first linked in 2021, announced in May that they had welcomed their first child together. De Niro — who shares six older children with past partners — told Gayle King later that month that daughter Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro was born on April 6.

“Welcome to the world lil man!!! @hannahbjeter,” the retired MLB athlete captioned an Instagram reveal on May 8, announcing that the pair welcomed their son, Kaius Green, on May 5.

“Hard Launch: Sullivan Cay 💙,” the Below Deck alum captioned an Instagram photo on May 5 of her baby boy.  

The Degrassi alum announced on May 4 that she and her husband welcomed their second child, son Leo Wilder, one week prior. “This guy shot out of the birth canal like a cannonball less than an hour after arriving at the hospital,” the actress wrote via Instagram, revealing Leo’s birthdate as April 27. “We love you so much sweet Leo 🦁🧡🦁.”

The Dancing With the Stars pro, who shares daughter Sage with Cusick, announced on May 3 that the couple expanded their family. 

The actor and his wife announced the arrival of their daughter on May 2. “Leni James Ludwig decided to come on her own schedule 4 weeks early. Born 4/27/23 at 7:24 a.m.,” the couple shared in a joint Instagram post. “@alexanderludwig was in another state filming and made it back just in time. A labor story for the books.”

The Hunger Games actor reposted the photo on his Instagram Story and added, “I’d run through a building for these girls.” He then captioned a photo of his little girl resting on his chest, “Dad mode activated.” The pair previously suffered multiple pregnancy losses before Leni joined the family.

News broke on April 25 that Darke gave birth to their first child. The twosome, who have been dating since 2013, were “over the moon about the pregnancy,” a source told Us a month prior.

The 2008 Olympic gymnast welcomed her fourth child in March, she revealed via Instagram one month later. The silver medalist — who is also mom of daughters Sloan, Teagan and Cass with her husband — shared multiple photos of her newborn just after his birth on St. Patrick’s Day 2023.

The Bling Empire personality welcomed her first child, a baby girl, with boyfriend William Ma in April.

“Happy birthday to our little Easter bunny,” she captioned Instagram photos of herself and her newborn at the time. “After a little over 24 hours of labor, you’re finally here! There’s so much love and kindness you are surrounded by, and so many people for you to meet.”

The Cosby Show alum revealed via an Instagram post on her birthday that she and her husband welcomed a baby boy. “With this little one we are complete … Happy Birthday to me!!! What an eventful birthday week …” the actress — who also shares daughter Ella Grace with her ex-husband, Edgerton Hartwell — captioned clips of herself at the hospital on April 9. “Thank you for the birthday wishes!!”

“It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. 👼🏼🤍👼🏼 Happy Easter! 🐣🐣 Posting from pure Heaven. 🙌🏽,” Swank gushed via Instagram on April 9, announcing the arrival of the couple’s twin babies. 

The model announced on Easter that she recently gave birth to a baby girl, her first child with her fiancé. “Our Easter egg finally hatched! Ivy Love Saul you have made all my dreams come true – our dream girl,” Lowe shared via Instagram on April 9. “I have never known happiness or love like this. I can’t stop crying tears of joy. Happy Easter Loves.”

The Love Is Blind alum revealed he welcomed his first child, a baby boy, on April 7.

“Might’ve been the villain on tv, but I’m gonna be the hero for him. Instagram, meet my little man ❤️ #bigfella,” the Netflix star announced via Instagram alongside a series of snaps that show him cuddling his newborn. The reality star did not reveal the identity of his son’s mother at the time. 

The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback and his wife, who already share twin sons Marshall and John, welcomed third son Cal on April 3.

“Surprise! He’s here! Not a belated April Fool’s Day joke but definitely a hard launch,” Sarah gushed via Instagram three days later. “After years of unsuccessfully trying to grow our family, this past summer Matt and I decided to give it one last shot. I am forever thankful that we did. Because even though I’ve dreamt about this day for so long, the reality of having him here is better than anything I could have ever imagined.”

She added in her post: “Cal Patrick Ryan, you are the definition of being worth the wait. You have two brothers who have been obsessed with you since the day they found out about you, and you are already making a strong case as Dad’s favorite by making sure your arrival didn’t disrupt his Masters weekend.”

The Shameless alum surprised fans on April 5 when she announced the arrival of her son. Rossum shared a photo of her baby bump and her little one’s footprints to confirm his birth.

The Olympic diver and his husband, who wed in 2017, welcomed son Phoenix via surrogate on March 28.

“Our family has grown in the last week, we welcomed Phoenix to the world on 28/03/23 and he’s just perfect 
,” Daley gushed via Instagram weeks later on April 5. “Robbie is loving being a BIG BRO!”

The twosome’s first child, son Robbie, previously arrived via gestational carrier in 2018.

The Flight Attendant star and Pelphrey, who announced in October 2022 that they were expecting baby No. 1, welcomed their daughter on March 30.

“Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle 💓,” Cuoco wrote via Instagram on April 1. “Thank you to the doctors, nurses, family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief.”

She added: “@tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did.”

Us broke the news on March 31 that the Bachelor in Paradise alum welcomed her first child with Burrello one day prior. “We are so excited to introduce our baby girl to the world!” the couple told Us. “Her name is Teddi Marie Burrello. I kind of brought the name up to Nick and it was one of a few we were considering, but I’ve always just loved the name.”

The Meta founder and his wife, who already share daughters Max and August, welcomed their third little girl in early 2023.

“Welcome to the world, Aurelia Chan Zuckerberg! You’re such a little blessing,” the proud dad wrote via Instagram on March 24.

“Welcome to this crazy world, Arthur and Maybelle,” the Brothers Osborne crooner wrote via Instagram on March 21, revealing the names of the couple’s newborn twins. “It’s going to be a wild one. @luciesilvas — You’re a damn boss.”

Osbourne noted that Arthur was born one minute before his sister. “We did it y’all. @luciesilvas is a damn warrior princess,” he gushed.

The Bold Type actress and musician announced their baby girl’s arrival on Monday, March 20. “She’s here 
2.23.23 — Our sweet Rome, we are so in love with you,” they captioned several photos via Instagram.

The Jane the Virgin alum and LoCicero announced in July 2022 that they were expecting their first child. Their little one, son Charlie, was born in early 2023.

While neither Rodriguez nor LoCicero publicly announced their child’s birth , the actress was spotted taking the infant on a walk in Los Angeles on March 18.

Us exclusively confirmed on March 17 that the twosome secretly welcomed their second child, son Carson, before the new year.

The Younger alum and the fitness instructor welcomed a baby girl on March 5 via home birth. “In love with the dove. Introducing Kilmer Dove Meyers Tortorella. Welcome to earth little one,” Tortorella wrote via Instagram one week later.

On March 12, the American Horror Story alum was spotted walking in New York City with her husband, who was toting their little one in a baby carrier on his chest. The couple, who confirmed their pregnancy in October 2022, have not shared details about when their infant arrived. 

On March 6, the Ellen DeGeneres Show alum shared a black-and-white photo of her fingers intertwined with her newborn’s, revealing in the caption that she welcomed her little one on February 26.

Bill Gates’ eldest daughter welcomed her first child, a baby girl, she and her husband announced via Instagram on March 5. “Sending love from our healthy little family 💓🙏🥰,” the couple captioned the sweet photo.

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel announced the arrival of her first child, a baby girl, via Instagram on March 2. “Mia Victoria 🤎 2•23•23,” she captioned two photos of the infant’s hand.

The Hills alum and her boyfriend announced on February 24 that they welcomed their second child together, a baby girl. 

“… and then there were 5… 🤍,” Carter wrote via Instagram alongside a series of images that included Brock and the reality star cradling their newborn daughter at the hospital. 

“Yesterday little lady #3 joined us,” the Philadelphia Eagles player announced via Instagram on February 24. “Bennett Llewellyn Kelce.”

The Bringing Up Bates alum and her husband welcomed their first child, daughter Hailey, on February 17. “Meet Hailey James Clark,” the couple wrote via Instagram on February 19, alongside several photos of their newborn. They added the hashtags, “#babygirl #helloworld.”

“Lucien Lee Mewes was born 2/12/2023 at 8:09am. 6 lbs 13.9 oz, 19.5 inches,” the Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back actor announced via Instagram on February 19. “Fast & furious…he almost arrived in the backseat of my car at the hospital entrance. … We are home, and Mom & baby are doing great. Our lives are forever changed. Less sleep than last week but worth it 🤍.”

Pardi and his wife, who wed in 2020, welcomed their first child on February 18.

“Our Baby girl is here and ready to Pardi haha DAD joke,” the “Dirt on My Boots” crooner wrote via Instagram several hours later, sharing a hospital photo of the couple’s daughter, Presley Fawn.

The Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman and his wife welcomed twins hours before his team won Super Bowl LVII on February 12. “It’s the best day of my life no matter what – 3:30, 4 a.m. – I became a dad, father of two daughters. Unbelievable,” he gushed after the game. “And now, I’ve got a ring for both of them. Incredible, cannot believe it.”

The Younger alum gave birth to the couple’s first child, a baby girl, on January 28.

“We are overjoyed and more in love than we ever imagined. It’s been a gorgeous two-week whirlwind adjusting to parenthood and it’s the coolest club we’ve ever been in,” Bernard wrote via Instagram on February 11. “Yesterday, in a 60-second span, Hannah was peed on during a diaper change and I picked bb up to help and was immediately met with projectile poop. My nips are sore, oxytocin is high — MOMS RULE. Hannah and I want to stay in our new family cocoon of diapers and milk and snuggles and eat every second of it up for as long as possible.”

“Welcome to the world Josephine Lee Brush!💚 Little Miss Joey was born 2/10 at 8lbs 9oz,” the Sister Wives personality wrote via Instagram on February 11, sharing the first photo of her third child.

Brown and Brush, who wed in 2016, are already parents to son Axel and daughter Evie.

“I’m so thankful that my baby girl is here and she so pretty and healthy,” the rapper wrote via Instagram on February 9, noting the pair’s daughter, Iceland, arrived one day earlier. He added a “Daddy’s Princess” hashtag to his post.

The couple, who wed in October 2017, are already parents to 2-year-old son Ice as well as older children from previous relationships.

“Our baby boy is here 🤍 1.31.23,” the couple announced in a joint Instagram post on February 2. “Mama & baby are happy, healthy, tired but doing well. Our hearts are so happy ❤️.”

People reported on January 30 that the couple privately welcomed their third child.

The Happy Endings alum revealed on January 26 that she and her hubby secretly welcomed their third child via surrogate. 

“This is the dawning of the Age Of Aquarius! Our angel Frances ‘Frankie’ Rose Caspe is here! Delivered by another angel, our surrogate and friend, Stacy whom we love and are immeasurably grateful for,” she wrote via Instagram. “Surrogacy is women supporting women in its highest form and it has been a profound experience. Uplifting and inspiring. … Frankie Rose is more than I could have ever imagined. She completes the sacred circle of mother and daughter I have longed for.”

“We got an amazing Situation🥺!! We are beyond overjoyed to welcome our little girl into this world to join our growing family of 4,” the Jersey Shore alum — who also shares son Romeo with Lauren — wrote via Instagram on January 25, one day after daughter Mia’s birth.

The Criminal Minds alum announced the arrival of his first child on January 24, writing via Instagram, “Ya boy is officially a Dad!!! Dreams come true!! The rest of my life is here! 
.”

The Simple Life alum revealed on January 24 that she and Reum secretly welcomed a son together. 

“You are already loved beyond words 💙,” she wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of her baby boy’s hand grasping onto her thumb. 

Us confirmed on January 22 that the Daisy Jones & the Six star and her husband, who wed in 2015, secretly welcomed their first child, a baby girl. Smith-Petersen first alluded to the news earlier that day during the memorial for Keough’s mother, Lisa Marie Presley.

“Thank you for showing me that love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters,” he said at the time, reading aloud his wife’s eulogy. “Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity. I’m a product of your heart.”

The couple announced that they welcomed their first child together, daughter Dylan, on January 16. 

“1.16.23 🕊️💗 ~ Dylan Rose Lawrence ~ Mom, Dad and big sisters are all so smitten with you sweet girl!” the couple captioned a photo of themselves with their newborn via Instagram at the time. “We welcomed her into this world with the most amazing midwife, everyone is happy and healthy and we are overjoyed with gratitude 🙏🏼🤍 wow what a beautiful journey. thank you for all your continued love surrounding this beautiful new life! stay tuned for baby spam xoxo.” 

The former View cohost and Domenech welcomed their second daughter on January 19. “Yesterday morning, we welcomed our newest addition, Clover Jade McCain Domenech, to our family!” McCain told Daily Mail one day after giving birth. “Ben and I are overjoyed to introduce Liberty to her baby sister and start this new adventure as a family.”

Domenech, for his part, told the outlet he felt “so blessed” that Meghan and their newborn were doing well.

The couple welcomed their third child on January 17. “Abram Shay, you’re so loved and so prayed over, baby boy. Thankful for all that God has done for us this week 🤍,” Billingsley captioned an Instagram video three days later of her husband singing to the infant.

The Married at First Sight alums welcomed their first child, daughter Aury Bella, on January 3.

“We’re so excited to announce the newest addition to the Morales fam bam is here,” the new parents told Us in a statement at the time. “Baby girl made her way into the world on 1/3/23. Our lives have changed for the better.” 

The Chrissy’s Court alum gave birth to the pair’s rainbow baby, daughter Esti Maxine, on January 13. 

The mirrorball champs welcomed their baby boy on January 10.

“Our new roommate is here,” the Tony Award nominee wrote via Instagram on January 9, sharing newborn portraits of son Addison Brooks Toth Jr.

The Nope star and her boyfriend welcomed son Leodis Andrellton in February. “Born during Black History Month, with a name to match 😄!” the Nope actress captioned her son’s birth announcement via Instagram on February 27.

Jackson revealed via his own Instagram that baby Leo was born on February 25 at 3:28 p.m.
