Meant to be. Sadie Robertson and Christian Huff fell hard and fast for one another, and they’re planning to make it work for the long haul.
“My faith is the most important thing to me, his faith is the No. 1 most important thing to him, and that’s what we talk about. That’s what gets us excited and that’s what we share a huge bond in,” the Duck Dynasty alum told Us Weekly in November 2019 while explaining why she and Huff work so well as a couple. “I think that’s what makes it extra special. We celebrate each other’s lives, and I think, for us, we truly love the other person.”
The couple — who began quietly dating in September 2018 — have often talked about their friendship and how it has helped them develop a stronger romantic relationship. “Wanted to post a picture with my best friend and give some public praise for how amazing she is and all that she does that goes unnoticed,” the Florida native wrote on Instagram in January 2020, gushing over his wife.
He continued: “Sadie, you are unlike any other and love so beautifully with no limits. … I love you more every day and am grateful for every moment with you. I will stand with you through anything and I know you’d do the same for me. Can’t imagine this life without you standing by your side cheering you on.”
Just under one year after their November 2020 wedding, Robertson announced that she and Huff were expecting their first child together. While they were thrilled with the news, the Dancing With the Stars alum confessed that they hadn’t planned to have children so soon. “I guess we shouldn’t have been that surprised, but we were super surprised and so I didn’t think I was pregnant at all,” Robertson said on a December 2020 episode of her “Whoa, That’s Good” podcast. “I was just overjoyed and I was just thanking God because Christian and I have said since we got married we kinda left it in God’s hands. We want a baby when it’s God’s time for us to have a baby.”
When their baby girl was born, the pair chose the name Honey, inspired by a Bible verse with significant meaning, Proverbs 16:24: “Gracious words are like honey, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” Both Robertson and Huff loved its sentiment. “On our first date we went to do pottery together and on my cup I simply wrote ‘honey’ because I called [Huff] the boy with the honey words,” the Who Are You Following shared on Instagram ahead of Honey’s birth.
“Fast forward 2 and a half years later and we have a daughter on the way who we so proudly get to name after one of the loveliest words,” she added.
The couple welcomed their second child, daughter Haven, in May 2023.

Robertson subtly confirmed that she was in a new relationship on Valentine’s Day 2019, sharing a photo of Huff holding balloons and a giant teddy bear on Instagram. “Celebrating this kind of love everyday, but with a teddy bear and balloons today,” the Louisiana native wrote. “Thank you for how you love and who you are!”
Two days later, Huff shared his own tribute on social media, describing Robertson as “my butta half and my best friend.” He continued, “Thank you for every moment and every memory, nothing you do goes unnoticed. There is nobody in the world like you.”
One month later, the couple celebrated their six-month anniversary, with Robertson writing on Instagram that Huff “brought so much life and freedom” into her life. “Today marks half a year of being your girl and it has been the sweetest and purest JOY! There’s no one that loves like you do,” she wrote, concluding her post by adding that “I love you some kinda crazy.”
Huff popped the question on his 19th birthday and his new fiancé was so happy that she “screamed YES” in response. “I’m the happiest human in the world on June 9th, 2019 today and for the rest of my life,” she continued. “I GET TO MARRY THIS MAN. God is faithful and so so good.”
The “4:8 Men” podcast host, for his part, described the proposal as the “best day of his life,” and gushed about his new fiancée. “I love you more than words and I love getting to celebrate who God created you to be,” he wrote on Instagram about Robertson.
Ahead of their wedding, the couple moved into a new house together. Robertson chronicled the day on social media, writing on Instagram that she had “all the feels” about this new chapter.
“I want him to succeed in all the things and he wants me to succeed in other things, and we enjoy doing it together because he’s my best friend and I think that those elements make it really special,” the Finding Freedom author told Us exclusively, gushing about why Huff is her perfect partner. “I think a friendship is the most important thing in a relationship and ours is really strong.”
The couple tied the knot on Robertson’s family’s farm in West Monroe, Louisiana. The star-studded guest list included Candace Cameron Bure, Alfonso Ribeiro and her parents, Korie and Willie Robertson. “I know it’s only week 1 but marriage is awesome,” the former reality star wrote on Instagram, sharing photos from their beachside honeymoon.
Nearly one year later, Robertson announced that she and Huff were expecting their first child by sharing a photo of them holding up the ultrasound pictures on Instagram. “We are thankful to be carrying a miracle into the world!” she wrote at the time. “Baby, you are already loved and already believed in. Can’t wait to welcome you into the world with all the joy, hope, and excitement you will bring into the life of so many by your miraculous incredible life.”
Robertson’s sister Rebecca Robertson Loflin revealed that the couple were expecting a baby girl. Huff, meanwhile, took a joking approach to sharing the news, captioning a photo of him and the Sun, Sand and Romance star covered in pink paint with, “Sadie’s pregnant, I’m the father and the child is a girl.”
Ahead of the birth of their baby girl, the twosome took a moment to reflect on everything that they experienced in the year since their wedding. “We’ve had an incredible start, a crazy start,” Robertson told Us at the time. “We feel like we’ve been married for a year. That actually should count as five years because COVID years are like dog years. So it’s been incredible. It really has. We were very grateful that we had each other through this year.”
The Life Just Got Real producer added that quarantine helped her and Huff realize “just how good of friends we have become and how good of friends we are to one another.” She continued: “And I think that’s so huge. Like, you want a partner who’s a friend and who’s a good one. And so it’s really cool to look back at this year and see that light, man.”
After announcing that they had decided to name their daughter Honey, Robertson explained the sweet meaning it held for the couple. “When Christian and I started dating we went through the book of Proverbs together,” she wrote on Instagram. “I remember getting to chapter 16 and as I read verse 24 I said to him, ‘You have words like honey. They are so sweet and are healing places in my heart I didn’t even know needed to be healed.'”
The duo welcomed baby Honey on May 11, 2021. “We saw a million little miracles yesterday – the best one being this girl right here… Honey,” she wrote on social media.
The new mom confessed to E! News that they were already thinking about giving Honey another sibling … or three. “One day we’ll say [we want] four kids, one day we’ll say three,” she said, adding that they have also talked about possibly adopting another child one day. “I’ve just seen the beauty of it, what a blended family can look like from adoption.”
One month later, Robertson told her Instagram followers that she and Huff weren’t in a rush to expand their family just yet. “Yes!” the Live on Purpose author wrote, when a fan asked if they wanted to have more kids. “But not anytime soon.
“Christian and I have never felt closer as a couple just because went through the most vulnerable time ever together,” she told Us, adding that her husband supported her through her experiences with postpartum depression and the early days of parenthood. “There were certainly days where, you know, it’s hard not to get frustrated at each other or whatever. But I will say, like, it did kinda help realizing that we’re both struggling.”
She added: “[We realized that] we’re literally in this together. I’m about to lose my mind [and] you’re about to lose your mind. Like, ‘OK, we’re a team here. … Let’s be in this together.'”
The pair announced they were expecting their second child. “Another little miracle is in motion ,” the then-pregnant star gushed via Instagram, showing off an ultrasound.
The couple hosted a sex reveal party, where they found out they were expecting another little girl.
“WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!!” Robertson wrote via Instagram alongside a video of the get together. In the clip, the Louisiana native pitched Huff a baseball, which burst into a cloud of pink smoke to reveal they had another daughter on the way.
The duo welcomed baby girl Haven Belle on May 22. “Haven has brought a touch of heaven 😍,” Robertson wrote via Instagram alongside photos from the hospital. “Life got a whole lot sweeter! Christian and I could not be happier and more grateful. Soaking in every single moment💕.”
